Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor
The key challenge for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors is to facilitate behavior change. In this course students will survey the concepts of behavior therapy most applicable to substance abuse treatment and the treat of co-occurring disorders. Areas to be covered include: social learning theory, coping skills training, relaxation training, assertiveness training, systematic desensitization and urge coping training. We will also explore other techniques of behavior change in substance abuse treatment, such as motivational interviewing and harm reduction therapy. We will also closely examine harm reduction therapy as an alternative treatment method, especially for those who fail or reject other treatment models, and those who are not diagnosed as chemically dependent
Applied Electrical Technology
This program is designed to prepare the graduate with the theory and working knowledge to work in the field as an entry-level Electrical Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Mechanic with operating knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers.
Building Maintenance Technology

Veterinary Technician
The educational objective of the Veterinary Technician Associate of Applied Science Degree is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to accept entry-level positions upon graduation. Upon successful completion, graduates possess specific skills in the handling and restraint of animal patients, nursing care, veterinary office procedures, sterilization, radiology, pharmacology, hematology, blood chemistry, parasitology, microbiology procedures and surgical assistance. BACHELOR
Computer Engineering & Network Technology
The objective of this course is to prepare the student with diverse education and training in computer engineering and network technology. The student will be prepared for entry-level employment as a local area or wide area network designer or network administrator. Graduates may enter positions that entail database technologies, data communications, operating system environments, hardware platforms and application development.
Computer Science and Information Systems Technology
The objective of this course is to prepare the student for entry-level employment in the information systems field by using diverse educational and training approaches including lecture, hands-on lab experience, and general education. The student will learn to build applications in Oracle including creating forms, and charts; will be able to utilize the project management process to ensure timely completion of complex projects; will be able to provide security for network systems and internet sites; and will be able to develop robust applications using the Java programming language. Upon successful completion the student will be prepared for entry-level employment as a systems analyst, project manager, computer programmer, a database administrator or network administrator, or other similar positions in a data processing/information systems environment.
Network Engineering & Computer Technology
The objective of this course is to prepare the student with diverse education and training in computer engineering and network technology. The student will be prepared for entry-level employment as a local area or wide area network designer or network administrator. DIPLOMA
Building Maintenance Mechanic
This program is designed to prepare the graduate with the theory and working knowledge to go work on an entry level basis in the maintenance and repair of various mechanical systems of buildings. This program includes training in electricity, carpentry, plumbing, painting and wallpapering, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; low-pressure steam and hydronics; water treatment and steam operated equipment. A graduate of this program can use all of these skills in entry-level positions in the maintenance of large buildings, hospitals, apartment buildings, utility companies, and industrial plants.
Combination Welding

The objective of this course is to prepare graduates with the skills needed for entry-level employment as a welder.

The program consists of 60 weeks, 72 Quarter Credit Hours of Combination Welding theory and associated lab work. Instruction is designed for entry every 10 weeks.

Computer Aided Drafting Technology
The objective of this course is to give students the skills needed to meet the employment requirements of an entry-level computer draftsperson. Students graduating from this program will learn the necessary skills to obtain employment in the drafting field with a working knowledge of project management, CAD customization and CAD as it applies to the mechanical, architectural and civil/structural fields.

Cosmetology
Students who successfully complete this program will receive the education and training to prepare themselves for the State Board Examination. Class time will be spent learning the technical skills and theory of hair dressing, hair cutting, permanent waving, hair coloring, manicuring, iron curling, and business. To assist the student to better understand the chemicals they work with, they will study hair structure and hair chemistry. After receiving a professional cosmetology license, it will enable them to perform any standard cosmetology service required in a beauty salon. Graduates will posses the skills to be employed as entry-level cosmetologists.
Cosmetology (50-Week Day Program)

The objective of this program is to prepare the student for employment as an entry-level cosmetologist performing chemical texturing, hair design, and hair coloring. Graduates of the Cosmetology Program will have a working knowledge of all administrative duties including scheduling, tax laws, small business regulations and hair treatments. Graduates will be eligible to sit for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Cosmetology licensing exams and then find entry-level employment in a beauty salon or independent facility as a cosmetologist.

The institution offers both a Day and Night version of the Cosmetology Diploma program. This program consists of 1500 clock hours. The Day program is completed in 50 weeks. Day students must complete 300 hours each 10-week term.

Cosmetology (60-Week Night Program)

The objective of this program is to prepare the student for employment as an entry-level cosmetologist performing chemical texturing, hair design, and hair coloring. Graduates of the Cosmetology Program will have a working knowledge of all administrative duties including scheduling, tax laws, small business regulations and hair treatments. Personal Fitness Trainer
The objective of this program is to prepare the graduates for entry level employment in personal trainer positions in gyms, fitness centers, private studios, corporate wellness programs or to begin their own personal fitness training business. Students will be trained to perform a variety of exercise related assessments and tests, design safe and effective fitness programs, implement safe and effective weight loss/gain programs and be proficient in a variety of business related skills. The student/faculty ratio will not exceed a 30:1 ratio that will include quality and professional instruction. This program will include certification training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillators (AED) and preparation for taking the NSCA-CPT certification exam offered by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) as a Certified Personal Trainer
Pharmacy Assistant
This program is designed to prepare the student for entry-level employment as a Pharmacy Assistant, performing administrative, clerical or pharmacy assistant duties or any similar positions within the health care field.
Pharmacy Technician

 The Pharmacy Technician Associates of Occupational Studies introduces students to fundamental medical language and office basics, as well as medical ethics and billing. Classes progress toward more advanced concepts such as medical dosages, pharmaceutical calculations, a comprehensive pharmacy technician externship, and more.

The objective of this program is to prepare the student for entry-level employment as a Pharmacy Technician. Pharmacy Technicians assist pharmacists with technical tasks. Independent pharmacies, chain pharmacies, hospitals, long-term health care organizations, pharmaceutical divisions and manufacturers employ pharmacy technicians. The program consists of 90 weeks,117 quarter credit hours of theory and associated pharmacy technician course.

Plumbing
The objective of this course it to prepare the graduate with the theory and working knowledge of Plumbing in order to secure an entry-level position in the industry as a maintenance or service technician.
