- Dental Assistant
- Dental Assistants perform various patient care, office
and laboratory duties in both small and large dental practices.
They're responsible for making patients as comfortable as
possible, preparing them for treatment, and obtaining dental
records. During a patient exam, Dental Assistants hand instruments
and materials to dentists, and keep patients' mouths clear by
using suction or other devices. What does our Dental Assistant

- Externship in a dental facility - Medical Assistant
- Medical Assistants perform routine administrative and
clinical tasks in the offices and clinics of physicians,
podiatrists, chiropractors and optometrists. In small practices,
they are "generalists," who handle both administrative
and clinical duties and report directly to an office manager,
physician, or other health practitioner. Those in large practices
tend to specialize in a particular area under the supervision of
department administrators. What does our Medical Assistant program

- Theory and practical application in the fundamentals of medical diagnostic techniques
- Study of the anatomy and physiology of the body and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Knowledge of standard clinical and laboratory procedures
- Training with regard to venipuncture, injections, electrocardiography (EKG), measurement of vital signs, and preparation for physical and specialty exams
- Required administrative procedures for use in a physician's office or clinic
- An introduction to medical insurance coding and claim processing
- An externship in a medical facility - Medical Billing and Coding
- Medical Billing and Coding Specialists are primarily
responsible for submitting documentation of care they've
provided to insurance companies. To do this, they handle
day-to-day medical billing procedures, complete claim forms,
schedule appointments, explain insurance benefits to patients and
bill insurance companies, They also may be responsible for office
bookkeeping and other administrative duties. What does our Medical
Billing and Coding program offer you?
- A general overview of health care and health insurance
- Training in insurance billing and medical coding
- Instruction for organizing and maintaining medical records
- Awareness of insurance claim reimbursement methodologies
- The study of human anatomy and physiology and common diseases
- An introduction to medical terminology and pharmacology
- Knowledge of medical office administrative responsibilities
- Externship in a medical office or a hospital - Pharmacy Technician
- Pharmacy Technicians help licensed pharmacists provide
medication and other health care products to patients. Technicians
usually perform routine tasks to help prepare prescribed
medication for patients, such as counting tablets and labeling
bottles. Technicians refer any questions regarding prescriptions,
drug information, or health matters to a pharmacist. What does our
Pharmacy Technician program offer you?
- Study of the anatomy and physiology of the body and of drugs/antibiotics used to treat common diseases
- Familiarity with prescription and non-prescription drugs, herbal remedies and dietary supplements
- Training with regard to the functions of hospital pharmacies; how to interpret physician's orders, maintain records, complete orders, fill unit dose carts, stock floor inventory, and more
- Training with regard to the functions of retail pharmacies; how to process drug orders, maintain inventory, calculate dosing, price and stock medication, and more
- An introduction to federal and state pharmacy laws
- An externship at a clinical site - Surgical Technologist
- Surgical Technologists, also called "Scrubs"
and "Surgical or Operating Room Technicians," assist in
surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered
nurses or other surgical personnel. They are members of operating
room teams, which most commonly include surgeons,
anesthesiologists and circulating nurses. What does our Surgical
Technologist program offer you?
- Theory and practical application in the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology of the body
- The surgical skills as well as laboratory procedures to meet the requirements of the operating room
- An introduction to the operating room and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Education related to sterilization and surgical instrument set-ups
- The knowledge to identify surgical room equipment and supplies
- Training with regards to the application of surgical bandages
- The skills to properly prepare and position a patient for surgery
- An externship at a medical facility
