Associate in Accounting
With the growing complexity and narrowing profit margins in the business community, accounting is becoming an increasingly important profession. Accountants supply vital data to management for use in decision-making and planning, as well as detailed analysis of the past performance of a company. With 30 or more credits in accounting, your curriculum at Central Penn gives you the flexibility to adapt to a number of positions in this broad field. You will receive specialized training in areas of cost accounting, tax accounting, and computer utilization. You will also receive a solid foundation in management, which can open additional doors for you in the accounting field.
Associate in Applied Science in Medical Assisting
Central Penn Medical Assisting graduates can be found in nearly every aspect of the health care profession. Many are clinical assistants or phlebotomists in hospitals, physicians' offices and outpatient clinics. Others find themselves as administrators in health or general insurance companies. Typically you will prepare patients for exams, assist with minor surgery, draw blood, administer tests and treatments, give injections and medications, and keep medical records.
Associate in Computer Information Systems: Network Management
The Associates degree with a network management minor focuses on developing both a basic understanding, and a practical skill set for the continuing maintenance and operation of micro based computer networks. The technologies used by a small business network are the same technologies used across the Internet. TCP/IP is the de facto standard for communication protocols across the network. A detailed study of TCP/IP, in conjunction with courseware in Ethernet, switching and routing, helps prepare students for employment in any business or organization to help keep the network in operation.
Associate in Criminal Justice
Central Penn's Criminal Justice program prepares you to work in public or private agencies; in law enforcement or security; or for local, state, or federal agencies in corrections and rehabilitation. Public agencies may employ graduates in police departments, county sheriff offices, state highway patrol offices, or correctional and juvenile detention facilities. You will learn how to enforce laws, gather and compile statistical information, detect and apprehend criminals, prevent crime and delinquency, correct and rehabilitate offenders, and provide safety and security in institutions and private businesses. This program will prepare you for the Pennsylvania State Police, the Municipal Officers, and the Correctional Officer Trainee Civil Service examinations.
Associate in Entrepreneurship & Small Business
America's economy has been and will continue to be driven by the successful management of small businesses. Central Penn's Small Business program is helping to prepare students for the competitive small business environment. This program provides a thorough background in marketing, finance, computer applications, accounting, sales and promotion, and management skills needed to operate a small business. All students prepare a loan package, which could be used in starting a small business. This program is ideal for people who have aspirations of opening their own business or who will eventually operate a family business.
Associate in Paralegal
Central Penn Paralegal Associate degree program graduates are professionals qualified by education and experience to assist attorneys in rendering legal services to the public. They work closely with attorneys to research the law, draft legal documents, and interview clients and witnesses. Paralegals can be found in private law firms, court offices, insurance companies, state and federal agencies, corporations, and businesses or aides for state and federal legislators. However, paralegals may not provide legal services directly to the public, except as permitted by law.
BACHELOR
Bachelor in Accounting
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting will prepare students in the complexity and fast-paced environment of Accounting. This program provides an extensive background in company analysis, tax and cost accounting, proficiency in the use of various software packages, and an in-depth understanding of problem-solving and communication skills relative to the profession. Graduates will increase their employability within their respective field of study, as well as be prepared for professional licensure or graduate study.
Bachelor in Business Administration
The Bachelor of Science degree program in Business Administration will prepare students to meet the demands of business. This program provides an extensive business background, management preparation, human resource and communication skills, and ethics in business and society. In addition, it allows students to select from among a list of elective courses or to concentrate in the areas of Finance, Healthcare Administration, Management, and Marketing. With careful planning, degree-seeking students may focus their selection of choice courses and concurrently earn a certificate in Human Resources.

Bachelor in Business Administration: Finance
The Bachelor of Science Degree program in Business Administration's Finance minor provides the student with an understanding of financial definitions, concepts, relationships, and strategies involving individuals, financial institutions, and non-financial business activities. Skill in finance is widely recognized as an important component needed for professional success within the corporate environment. The student learns to understand the challenges of obtaining and allocating monetary resources and financial risk management. The concentration helps develop a student's analytical skills, use of computers for analysis and presentations, and communication skills. The program will focus on the main aspects of business as well as finance courses that will enable the student to prepare for financial positions including financial managers, account executives, financial agents, and loan officers.

Central Penn's Healthcare Administration minor provides the student with an understanding of the role of public policies and politics in the healthcare industry, the various component sectors of the industry, and the planning methods used within the healthcare field. The Healthcare Administration minor will provide the preparation for administrative and strategic planning positions within all branches of the healthcare industry.
